A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the delivery of proposed state agency rules to the |
|
|
lieutenant governor, a member of the legislature, or a legislative |
|
|
agency. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 2001.032(b), Government Code, is amended |
|
|
to read as follows: |
|
|
(b) On receiving a written request from the lieutenant |
|
|
governor, a member of the legislature, or a legislative agency, the |
|
|
secretary of state shall provide the requestor with electronic |
|
|
notification of rulemaking filings by a state agency [A state
|
|
|
agency shall deliver to the lieutenant governor and the speaker of
|
|
|
the house of representatives a copy of the notice of a proposed rule
|
|
|
when the agency files notice with the secretary of state] under |
|
|
Section 2001.023. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
