R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Gloria St. John of Waco passed away on April 12,
  2011, at the age of 85, leaving her circle of family and friends to
  cherish their many happy memories of time spent in her company; and
         WHEREAS, Born on August 3, 1925, in Temple, to Robert and
  Zelma Russell, the former Gloria Russell grew up in Waco and
  graduated from Waco High School in 1942; she was joined in marriage
  with William St. John in 1958, and the pair shared nearly 40 years
  together before his death in 1997; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. St. John enjoyed the love and affection of
  seven children, and with the passing years, she delighted in
  welcoming 16 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren into her
  family; and
         WHEREAS, Retired from employment with a local equipment
  manufacturing company, she shared her faith with her fellow
  congregants at Meadowbrook Baptist Church in Robinson; and
         WHEREAS, With her sweet and caring nature, Gloria St. John
  touched many lives during her time on this earth, and she will
  forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and
  loved her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Gloria St. John and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  children, Thomas Nichols, Bill St. John, Elizabeth Rockholt,
  Cynthia Pockrus, Melody Cline, David St. John, and Terrie St. John;
  to her sister, Roberta Walker; to her grandchildren and
  great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gloria St.
  John.
