R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  death of Irene A. Hendrix of Waco on April 1, 2011, at the age of 92;
  and
         WHEREAS, The former Irene Garrett was born in Patrick on July
  27, 1918, to Nay and Ethel Garrett; she enjoyed a rewarding marriage
  with her husband, Lewis O. Hendrix, that spanned 64 years until his
  passing; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Garrett worked as a homemaker throughout her
  life; she was blessed with 2 daughters, Betty and Patsy, as well as
  7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and twin
  great-great-granddaughters; devoted to her faith, she was a member
  of Chalk Bluff Baptist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Although Irene Hendrix will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in
  the hearts of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Irene A. Hendrix and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  daughters and son-in-law, B. J. "Betty" Burleson and Patsy and Jim
  Stauffer; to her grandchildren, Kenny and Kevin Stauffer, Terise
  Rhodes and her husband, James, Robyn Hollas and her husband, Tyson,
  Chris Chasteen and his wife, Anne, Joe Burleson, Jr., and his wife,
  Felicia, and Ronnie Burleson and his wife, Carol; to her 17
  great-grandchildren and her twin great-great-granddaughters; and
  to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Irene
  Hendrix.
