R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 85th birthday of an esteemed Texan is truly |
|
|
cause for celebration, and Velma Wiethorn reached that notable |
|
|
milestone in her life on March 22, 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born on that special day in 1926, Mrs. Wiethorn has |
|
|
lived on a farm in McGregor throughout her life; she shared many |
|
|
happy years of marriage with Gilbert Wiethorn before his passing, |
|
|
and the couple were blessed with three children; today, she also |
|
|
enjoys the love and affection of 10 grandchildren and three |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A woman of abiding faith, Mrs. Wiethorn is a valued |
|
|
member of Zion Lutheran Church; she maintains an active lifestyle |
|
|
and attends weekly water aerobics classes at the YMCA; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Velma Wiethorn is a source of joy and inspiration to |
|
|
her family and friends, and it is a pleasure to honor her on eight |
|
|
and a half decades of life well lived; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Velma Wiethorn on her 85th birthday |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Wiethorn as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
