R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Andres S. Enriquez has served with distinction |
|
|
as the 2010-2011 president of the El Paso County Medical Society; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of El Paso, Dr. Enriquez graduated from |
|
|
Canutillo High School and earned his bachelor's degree from The |
|
|
University of Texas at El Paso and his medical degree from the Texas |
|
|
Tech University Health Sciences Center; he went on to complete his |
|
|
residency in family practice at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort |
|
|
Worth; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During his notable term as head of the EPCMS, Dr. |
|
|
Enriquez oversaw a number of important initiatives; in addition to |
|
|
donating $1,000 to the TMF Health Quality Institute Minority |
|
|
Scholarship fund, the organization met with representatives from |
|
|
local industry and government in an effort to address issues |
|
|
affecting patients and physicians; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The group also sent delegates to Washington, D.C., |
|
|
for the annual Border Health Conference and reached out to the |
|
|
public through its production of El Paso Physician television |
|
|
programs and El Paso Physician magazine; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dr. Andres Enriquez has demonstrated outstanding |
|
|
commitment to the medical profession, and the members of the EPCMS |
|
|
have indeed benefited from his leadership and dedication; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Dr. Andres S. Enriquez for his service |
|
|
as 2010-2011 president of the El Paso County Medical Society and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Dr. Enriquez as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
