A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
|
|
|
|
|
|
AN ACT
|
|
|
|
|
|
relating to the board of hospital managers of the Lubbock County |
|
|
|
|
|
Hospital District. |
|
|
|
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 1053.051(a), Special District Local Laws |
|
|
|
|
|
Code, is amended to read as follows: |
|
|
|
|
|
(a) The board consists of not fewer than six [five] and not |
|
|
|
|
|
more than eight [seven] managers appointed as follows: |
|
|
|
|
|
(1) one ex officio manager appointed by the Texas Tech |
|
|
|
|
|
University Board of Regents; and |
|
|
|
|
|
(2) the remaining managers appointed by the |
|
|
|
|
|
commissioners court. |
|
|
|
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives |
|
|
|
|
|
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as |
|
|
|
|
|
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this |
|
|
|
|
|
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this |
|
|
|
|
|
Act takes effect September 1, 2011. |
