Amend CSSB 2 (house committee printing) by adding the following appropriately numbered SECTION and renumbering subsequent SECTIONS accordingly:

SECTION ____.  Salary of the Land Commissioner. Notwithstanding any other provision of HB 1, Eighty-second Legislature, Regular Session, regarding the salary of the commissioner of the General Land Office and Veterans' Land Board (GLO), the GLO may pay the commissioner an annual salary not to exceed $150,000.
