CHAIR:
Senator John Carona
The Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security will
convene in a joint hearing with the House Transportation Committee at
8:00 a.m. on February 1, 2010 in the Capitol Extension.
The purpose of the hearing is to receive quarterly updates and to open a
dialogue on the status of transportation infrastructure, the sufficiency
of current funding, and the merits of alternative approaches to funding.
 
Agenda (tentative)
Quarterly Update (DPS).
Quarterly Update (DMV) and Discussion of Vehicle Registration Fees.
Quarterly Update (TxDOT) and Discussion of Infrastructure Funding.
Panels on Transportation Impacts, Transportation Needs and Outlook,
Debt Financing, Transportation Zones, and other Invited Testimony.
Public Testimony.
 
Written testimony is welcome, please submit 15 copies with your name
on each copy to the Committee staff at the hearing. If you would like to
speak during public testimony, please limit oral remarks to three minutes.
