Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with HCR 57, a public hearing of the Select Committee on Public School Finance Weights, Allotments, and Adjustments was held on Tuesday, March 23, 2010, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, in Austin, Texas.

Senator Shapiro called the meeting to order at 9:36 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:
Senator Shapiro and Representative Eissler, as Co-Chairs, shared presiding duties throughout the hearing.
Senator Shapiro, Representative Eissler, and appointed members made opening remarks to the Committee.
Larry Kellner moved adoption of the committee rules; without objection, it was so ordered.
Senator Shapiro called the following invited witnesses to provide testimony. See attached list.
At 10:53 a.m. Representative Eissler assumed the chair.
At 11:05 a.m. Senator Shapiro resumed the chair.
At 1:04 p.m. Representative Eissler assumed the chair.
At 1:22 p.m. Senator Shapiro resumed the chair.
At 3:09 p.m. Senator Shapiro called persons who registered as public witnesses to provide testimony. See attached list.
