Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Texas Environmental Flows Advisory Group was held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.012, at Austin, Texas.

Co-Chairman Ritter called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Advisory Group heard the following testimony:

 

-Update from the Texas Environmental Flows Science Advisory Committee

Bob Huston, Chairman

 

-Update on existing Bay and Basin Area Stakeholder Committees and existing Basin and Bay Expert Science Teams

Kelly Rila, Texas Commission on Environmental Quality

 

Co-Chairman Ritter instructed the clerk to read the slate of finalists for the Colorado and Lavaca Rivers and the Matagorda and Lavaca Bays Environmental Flows Stakeholder Committee.

 

Co-Chairman Averitt moved that the slate of finalists for the Colorado and Lavaca Rivers and the Matagorda and Lavaca Bays Environmental Flows Stakeholder Committee be adopted and appointed.  With 7 ayes and 0 nays, the motion passed.

 

Co-Chairman Ritter instructed the clerk to read the slate of finalists for the Guadalupe, San Antonio, Mission and Aransas Rivers and the Mission, Copano, Aransas, and San Antonio Bays Stakeholder Committee.

 

Co-Chairman Averitt moved that the slate of finalists for the Guadalupe, San Antonio, Mission and Aransas Rivers and the Mission, Copano, Aransas, and San Antonio Bays Stakeholder Committee be adopted and appointed.  With 7 ayes and 0 nays, the motion passed.

 

There being no further business, Chairman Ritter moved that the Advisory Group be adjourned. Without objection, it was so ordered.
