Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Subcommittee on Base Realignment and Closure was held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at Senator Shapleigh's Desk.

The chair called the meeting to order at 1:42 p.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The following members arrived after the roll was called: 

Senator Craig Estes

 

Senator Huffman moved to reconsider the vote by which CSSB 2100 failed to receive a majority subcommittee vote.  Without objection, it was so ordered.

 

Senator Huffman moved that SB 2100 do not pass but that CSSB 2100 be reported back to the full Senate committee on Veteran Affairs & Military Installations with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 3 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. 

 

At 1:44 p.m. Senator Huffman moved that the subcommittee stand recessed until call of the chair; without objection, it was so ordered.
