Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Government Organization was held on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, in the Betty King Committee Room at Austin, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:36 a.m.  The following business was transacted: 

 

At 8:40 a.m. Senator Ellis moved that the committee stand recessed until an hour after adjournment.  Without objection, it was so ordered. 

 

Senator Ellis suspended 11.10 and 11.18 so the committee could meet in room E1.036 at 3:30 p.m.

 

At 3:32 p.m. Senator Ellis reconvened the committee. 

 

At 3:36 p.m. Senator Ellis moved that the committee stand recessed until Monday, March 30, 2009; without objection, it was so ordered.
