Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Finance was held on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, in the Capitol Extension, Room E1.036, at Austin, Texas.

Senator Juan Hinojosa, the acting chair, called the meeting to order at 10:01 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Committee heard invited and public testimony regarding the Committee's interim charge to provide effective budget oversight of state agencies that received appropriations as a result of hurricane damage and examine the rebuilding of University of Texas Medical Branch and the collection and proper deposit of federal reimbursements.

 

Witnesses testifying and registering on the subject are shown on the attached list. 

 

The chair opened the floor for public testimony.  There being none, the public testimony was closed.

 

 

 

 

There being no further business, at 12:43 p.m. Senator Hinojosa moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
