Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Administration was held on Monday, May 18, 2009, in the E1.714.

The chair called the meeting to order at 10:09 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

Local & Uncontested Calendar

The chair laid out the list of bills recommended for placement on the Local and Uncontested Calendar to be held on May 21, 2009, at 8:00 a.m.

 

The following bills were removed from the list:

HB 71, HB 497, HB 715, HB 1358, HB 1409, HB 1487, HB 1568, HB 1711, HB 1979, HB 1983, HB 2318, HB 2401, HB 2424, HB 2447, HB 2530, HB 3218, HB 3340, HB 3543, HB 3632, HB 4577, SB 688, SB 2309, SB 2350, SB 2488, SB 2537, SB 2539, SB 2540, SB 2541, SB 2583 and SCR 59. 

 

Senator Uresti moved that, with the exception of the bills previously listed, the bills on the recommended list be certified for placement on the Local and Uncontested Calendar.  The motion carried with a record vote of 7 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.

 

There being no further business, at 10:55 a.m. Senator Williams moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
