Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 11, 2009, the House Committee on Transportation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pickett, at 6:18 p.m.

 

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Pickett; Phillips; Callegari; Dunnam; McClendon; Merritt; Smith, Todd; Smith, Wayne (8).

 

Absent:              Representatives Davis, Yvonne; Guillen; Harper-Brown (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

 

The chair directed that the May 5, 2009, minutes for the House Committee on Transportation be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

 

 

HB 9, HJR 9

 

The chair laid out HB 9 and HJR 9 as pending business.

 

 

Representative Pickett offered a complete committee substitute to HB 9.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative McClendon moved that HB9, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

Representative McClendon moved that HJR9, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

At 6:22 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned
