Pursuant to a notice posted on June 22, 2010, the House Committee on Judiciary & Civil Jurisprudence, Subcommittee on Laredo Redistricting, met in a joint public hearing with the House Committee on Redistricting, Subcommittee on Laredo Redistricting, and was called to order by the chair, Representative Martinez, "Mando", at 10:12 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Martinez, "Mando"; Jackson, Jim; Lewis (3).

 

Absent:            None (0).

 

A quorum was present.

The House Committee on Redistricting, Subcommittee on Laredo Redistricting, was called to order by the chair, Representative Pena, at 10:12 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Pena; Herrero (2).

 

Absent:            Representative Hilderbran (1).

 

A quorum was present.

Representative Hunter addressed the audience.  The following members were also present: Hughes; Guillen; Alonzo; Phillips; Burnam; Raymond and Senator Zaffirini.

 

Senator Zaffirini addressed the audience.

 

Representative Raymond addressed the audience.

 

Representative Guillen addressed the audience.

 

Representative Martinez addressed the audience.

 

Representative Alonzo addressed the audience.
