Pursuant to an announcement in which Representative Rose requested and was granted permission for the Committee on Human Services to meet while the house is in session, at 12 p.m. in 3W.9, to consider pending business, from the house floor on April 24, 2009, the House Committee on Human Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Rose, at 12:00 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Rose; Herrero; Darby; Elkins; Hughes; Legler; Naishtat; Walle (8).

 

Absent:              Representative Hernandez (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 2084

 

The chair laid out HB 2084 as pending business.

 

Representative Hughes moved that HB 2084, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Rose; Darby; Elkins; Hughes; Legler (5).

 

Nays:                             Representatives Herrero; Naishtat; Walle (3).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).
