Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and receiving permission to meet during the reading and referral of bills on April 7, 2009, the House Committee on Human Services met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Rose, at 12:55 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Rose; Herrero; Darby; Elkins; Hernandez; Legler; Naishtat; Walle (8).

 

Absent:              Representative Hughes (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 1317

 

The chair laid out HB 1317 as pending business.

 

Representative Rose offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Hernandez moved that HB 1317, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Rose; Herrero; Darby; Elkins; Hernandez; Legler; Naishtat; Walle (8).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).
