Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 21, 2009 and permission granted to meet while the House is in Session, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, at 5:05 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representatives Dunnam; Legler; Veasey (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

SB 1757

 

The chair laid out SB 1757.

 

Representative Cook offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Chisum moved that SB 1757, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
