Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and with permission being granted to meet while the House is in Session on May 19, 2009, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Keffer, at 4:41 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:

Absent: Representative Crownover (1).
A quorum was present.
SB 545
The chair laid out SB 545 as pending business.
Representative Crabb offered a complete committee substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Crabb moved that SB 545, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
Ayes: Representatives Keffer; Crabb; Farabee; Gonzalez Toureilles; Hardcastle; Rios Ybarra; Strama (7).
Nays: Representative Craddick (1).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Crownover (1).

The chair laid out SB 598 as pending business.
Representative Strama moved that SB 598, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
