Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 12, 2009, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gallego, at 6:33 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Gallego; Hodge; Kent; Miklos; Moody; Pierson; Riddle; Vaught (8).

 

Absent:              Representatives Christian; Fletcher; Vo (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 912.

 

The chair explained the measure.

Representative Riddle moved that SB 912, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Gallego; Fletcher; Hodge; Kent; Miklos; Moody; Pierson; Riddle; Vaught (9).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Christian; Vo  (2).

 

Representative Kent moved that the May 7, 2009 minutes for the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
