Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2009, and pursuant to permission granted May 18, 2009 to meet while the house is in session during the reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Border & Intergovernmental Affairs met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Gonzales, at 6:39 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Gonzales; Flynn; Guillen; Moody; Olivo; Shelton (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Flores; Leibowitz; Raymond (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 2253.

 

Representative Flynn moved that SB 2253, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Gonzales; Flynn; Guillen; Moody; Olivo; Shelton (6).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Flores; Leibowitz; Raymond  (3).

 

At 6:40 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
