Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule, and an announcement from the house floor on March 12, 2009, and revised on March 12, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education, Subcommittee on Education, met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:14 a.m.

 

Present:           Representatives Hochberg; Aycock; Morrison; Villarreal (4).

 

Absent:            Representative King, Susan (1).

 

A quorum was present.

At 11:48 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 1:00 p.m., March 13, 2009.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:17 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hochberg; Aycock; King, Susan; Morrison; Villarreal (5).

 

Absent:              None (0).

 

A quorum was present.
