Pursuant to a notice posted on February 18, 2009, the House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg, at 8:14 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hochberg; Morrison; Aycock; King, Susan; Villarreal (5).

 

Absent:              None (0).

 

A quorum was present.

At 11:40 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 12:45 p.m., February 23, 2009.

 

The committee reconvened at 12:49 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hochberg; Morrison; Aycock; King, Susan (4).

 

Absent:              Representative Villarreal (1).

 

A quorum was present.

At 1:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 3:00 p.m. or 10 minutes after final adjournment/recess, whichever is later.

 

The committee reconvened at 4:01 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hochberg. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hochberg; Morrison; Aycock; Villarreal (4).

 

Absent:              Representative King, Susan (1).

 

A quorum was present.
