AN ACT
|
|
|
relating to the funding of the statewide wildfire protection plan |
|
|
at the Texas Forest Service. |
|
|
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: |
|
|
SECTION 1. Section 614.104, Government Code, is amended by |
|
|
amending Subsection (b) and adding Subsection (c) to read as |
|
|
follows: |
|
|
(b) Except as provided by Subsection (c), money [Money] in |
|
|
the fund may be used only for a purpose under this subchapter. |
|
|
(c) The service may expend an amount not to exceed $5 |
|
|
million each year from the fund for staffing and operating costs |
|
|
associated with the preparation and delivery of the service's |
|
|
statewide wildfire protection plan. |
|
|
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2009. |
