AUTHOR'S / SPONSOR'S STATEMENT OF INTENT
This legislation redefines "eligible political subdivision" to include any interstate compact commission to which the state is a party and any nonprofit water supply corporation created and operating under Chapter 67 (Nonprofit Water Supply or Sewer Service Corporations) of the Water Code.
S.B. 2312 amends current law relating to eligibility for funds from the water infrastructure fund from the Texas Water Development Board.
RULEMAKING AUTHORITY
This bill does not expressly grant any additional rulemaking authority to a state officer, institution, or agency.
SECTION BY SECTION ANALYSIS
SECTION 1. Amends Section 15.971(1), Water Code, to redefine "eligible political subdivision."
SECTION 2. Effective date: September 1, 2009.
