| The Committee meeting will begin 30 minutes upon adjournment of the Senate |

| Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security. |

| The Senate Finance Subcommittee on Property Appraisal and Revenue Caps |

| will be meeting jointly with the Senate Education Committee to discuss the |
|
| following interim charge: |
|
|
|
| Review current property tax rates at school districts. Explore what |
|
| mechanisms may exist to prevent any future constitutional funding |
|
| challenges. Review any funding issues that are particular to certain |
|
| types of school districts, such as fast growth districts. |
|
|
| In addition, the Senate Finance Subcommittee on Property Appraisal and |
|
| Revenue Caps will discuss the following charge: |
|
|
| Review the practice of school districts approving budgets contingent on |
|
| the passage of a rate-rollback election. |
|
|
| Public testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per person. |
