Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security was held on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in the Omni Mandalay Hotel in Irving, Texas.

The chair called the meeting to order at 8:00 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Committee received public and invited testimony related to interim study charges on Metropolitan Planning Organizations and Billboards.  Witnesses are shown on the attached list.

 

At 11:55 a.m. Senator Watson assumed the chair. 

 

There being no further business, at 12:00 p.m. Senator Watson moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
