Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on Transportation and Homeland Security was held on Tuesday, February 5, 2008, in the Capitol Extension E1.030

A joint hearing of the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Transportation and Homeland Security Committee was held.  Chairmen Ogden and Carona shared presiding duties.

 

Senator Ogden called the Finance Committee to order at 9:00 a.m.  Senator Carona called the Transportation and Homeland Security Committee to order at 9:00 a.m.

There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted:

 

The Committee heard invited testimony regarding the Texas Department of Transportation's 2008-2009 appropriation.  Witnesses testifying and registering on the subject are shown on the attached list.

 

There being no further business, at 12:07 p.m. Senator Carona moved that the Transportation and Homeland Security Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
