Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule 11.18, an open meeting of the Senate Committee on Health & Human Services was held on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, in the Senate Chamber at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:00 a.m.  There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted: 

 

The Chair gave welcoming remarks.

 

The Chair introduced Committee staff, and each member of the Committee acknowledged his health and human services policy analyst(s).

 

The Chair laid out proposed committee rules to be adopted.

 

Senator Zaffirini moved that the rules be adopted; without objection, the rules were adopted.

 

There being no further business, at 9:11 a.m. the Chair moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Chair; without objection, it was so ordered.
