Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.10 and 11.18, a public hearing of the Subcommittee on SB 568 was held on Monday, April 30, 2007, in the Senate Chamber, at Senator Williams desk, Austin, Texas.

Senator Tommy Williams, Subcommittee chair, called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.  The following business was transacted: 

 

The chair laid out SB 568 as filed and recognized the author, Senator Ellis, to explain the bill.  The chair moved that SB 568 be reported favorably to the full Senate Committee on State Affairs with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion carried with a record vote of 2 ayes, 0 nay, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. 

 

There being no further business, at 6:00 p.m. Senator Williams moved that the Subcommittee stand recessed subject to the call of the chair.  Without objection, it was so ordered.
