Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 14, 2007, and being granted permission to meet while the House is in session pending receipt of Senate messages and reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Culture, Recreation, & Tourism met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hilderbran, at 6:22 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:       Representatives Hilderbran; Kuempel; Homer; Howard, Donna; O'Day; Phillips (6).

 

Absent:        Representative Dukes (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

SB900

 

The chair laid out SB900, the companion to HB2461.

 

Representative Kuempel offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Homer moved that SB900, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Hilderbran; Kuempel; Homer; O'Day; Phillips (5).

 

Nays:                             Representative Howard, Donna (1).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representative Dukes  (1).

 

SB1933

 

The chair laid out SB1933, the companion to HB3386.

 

Representative Hilderbran offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative O'Day moved that SB1933, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
