Pursuant to a notice posted on May 14, 2008, the House Committee on Regulated Industries met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative King, Phil, at 9:42 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representatives Hartnett; Oliveira; Smithee; Straus (4).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Telecommunications in Texas

 

The chair laid out the issue of Telecommunications in Texas.
