Pursuant to a notice posted on March 18, 2008, and revised March 25, 2008, the House Committee on Local Government Ways & Means met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hill, at 10:05 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hill; Elkins; Quintanilla (3).

 

Absent:              Representatives Creighton; Howard, Charlie; Villarreal (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair laid out Interim Charge #1.
