Pursuant to a notice posted on February 22, 2007, the House Committee on Licensing & Administrative Procedures met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Flores, at 12:54 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Flores; Geren; Hamilton; Jones, Delwin; Quintanilla (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Isett, Carl; Goolsby; Miles; Thompson (4).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair introduced the committee members and laid out some of committee's organizational duties.

 

 By filling out and signing the witness affirmation forms the witnesses agreed to give their testimony under oath.

 

Agency Introduction

 

The chair recognized the heads of the agencies under the committee's jurisdiction to provide brief introductory remarks of their respective agency.
