Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 15, 2007, the House Committee on Judiciary met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hartnett, at 5:19 p.m.

The chair laid out SB 1404 as pending business.

The chair explained the measure.

 

Representative Goolsby moved that SB 1404, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
