Pursuant to a notice posted on December 8, 2008, the House Committee on Hurricane Ike Devastation, Select met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner, at 10:20 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Turner; Davis, John; Allen, Alma; Eiland; Olivo; Riddle; Schwartz, A. R. "Babe"; Smith, Wayne; Taylor (9).

 

Absent:              Representatives Bonnen; Crabb; Deshotel; Dutton; Hamilton; Harless (6).

 

A quorum was present.

 

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

 

At 1:02 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.

 

The committee reconvened at 1:12 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Turner. The roll was answered as follows:
