Pursuant to a notice posted on April 12, 2007 and revised on April 13, 2007, the House Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Bonnen, at 8:01 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Bonnen; Hancock; Lucio III; King, Tracy; Kuempel (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Driver; West, George "Buddy" (2).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair directed that the April 3, 2007, minutes for the House Committee on Environmental Regulation be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.

The chair recognized Representative Kuempel to explain the measure.
