Pursuant to a notice posted on March 23, 2007, the House Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hardcastle, at 8:10 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Present:              Representatives Hardcastle; Farabee; Crownover; Chisum (4).

Absent:              Representatives Corte; Crabb; Gonzalez Toureilles (3).

A quorum was present.

 

HB 2174

 

Representative Crownover moved to reconsider the vote by which HB 2174, as substituted, was reported from committee. The motion to reconsider prevailed without objection.

 

Representative Chisum moved that HB 2174, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Hardcastle; Farabee; Crownover; Chisum (4).

Nays:                             None (0).

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

Absent:                          Representatives Corte; Crabb; Gonzalez Toureilles  (3).

 

HB 1920

 

The chair laid out HB 1920.

The chair recognized Representative Keffer to explain the measure.

Representative Farabee offered a complete committee substitute.

Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.)

The chair recognized Representative Keffer to close on the measure.

The committee substitute was withdrawn without objection.

The bill was left pending without objection.

The chair recognized Representative Crownover to explain the measure.

At 1:50 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment of the Full House, April 2, 2007.

 

The committee reconvened at 5:20 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hardcastle. The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Hardcastle; Farabee; Crownover; Chisum (4).

Absent:              Representatives Corte; Crabb; Gonzalez Toureilles (3).

A quorum was present.

The chair recognized Representative Crabb to close on the measure.

The bill was left pending without objection.
