Pursuant to a motion on the house floor to grant permission for the House Committee on Elections to meet while the house is in session on May 18, 2007 and pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18, 2007, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Berman, at 10:45 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Berman; England; Anchia; Burnam; Farias (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Bohac; Howard, Charlie (2).

 

A quorum was present.

 

SJR 68

 

The chair laid out SJR 68.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

The chair moved that SJR 68, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Berman; England; Anchia; Burnam; Farias (5).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Bohac; Howard, Charlie  (2).
