Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 24, 2007, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Berman, at 12:09 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Berman; Bohac; England; Burnam; Farias; Howard, Charlie (6).

 

Absent:              Representative Anchia (1).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 1462

 

The chair laid out HB 1462.

 

The chair explained the measure.

 

The chair moved that HB 1462, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Berman; Bohac; England; Howard, Charlie (4).

 

Nays:                             Representatives Burnam; Farias (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representative Anchia  (1).

 

HB 3742

 

The chair laid out HB 3742 as pending business.

 

The chair recognized Representative Bohac to explain the measure.

 

Representative Howard, Charlie offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

The chair moved that HB 3742, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Berman; Bohac; England; Howard, Charlie (4).

 

Nays:                             Representatives Burnam; Farias (2).

 

Present, Not Voting:     Representative Anchia  (1).

 

Absent:                          None  (0).
