Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 16, 2007, the House Committee on Elections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Berman, at 6:05 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

Absent:              Representatives Anchia; Burnam; Farias (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 626.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

The chair moved that HB 626, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Berman; Bohac; England; Howard, Charlie (4).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     None  (0).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Anchia; Burnam; Farias  (3).

The chair laid out HB 218.

 

The chair moved that HB 218, without amendments, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
