Pursuant to a notice posted on March 8, 2007, and being granted permission to meet while the house is in session during the reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on Economic Development met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Deshotel, at 1:51 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Deshotel; Straus; Morrison; Ortiz, Jr. (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Kolkhorst; Dunnam; Veasey (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

The chair directed that the February 21, 2007, minutes for the House Committee on Economic Development be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
