CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On May 18, 2007, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence held on May 8, 2007. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on May 3, 2007, and a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on May 7, 2007, to allow the committee to consider SB 280 and SB 1448, and with permission to meet during bill referral, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pena, at 9:44 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Pena; Vaught; Escobar; Hodge; Pierson (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Riddle; Mallory Caraway; Moreno, Paul; Talton (4).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out SB 499.

 

The chair offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The chair recognized Representative Hochberg to explain the measure.
