Pursuant to a suspension of the 5-day posting rule on March 1, 2007, the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Pena, at 12:06 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Pena; Vaught; Riddle; Escobar; Hodge; Mallory Caraway (6).

 

Absent:              Representatives Moreno, Paul; Pierson; Talton (3).

 

A quorum was present.

The chair laid out HB 1399.

 

The chair recognized Representative Escobar to explain the measure.

The chair recognized Representative Escobar to close on the measure.

 

The bill was left pending without objection.
