CORRECTED MINUTES

 

 

On May 2, 2007, the House Committee on County Affairs authorized the correction of the  minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on County Affairs held on April 18, 2007. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:

 

Pursuant to a notice posted on April 13, 2007, and permission granted to allow the committee to meet while the house was in session during the reading and referral of bills, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Smith, Wayne, at 4:00 p.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Smith, Wayne; Bolton; Farabee; Harless; Leibowitz (5).

 

Absent:              Representatives Naishtat; Coleman; Heflin; Smith, Todd (4).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 408

 

The chair laid out HB 408 as pending business.

 

Representative Smith, Wayne offered a complete committee substitute.

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Smith, Wayne moved that HB 408, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:
