Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 8, 2007, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Madden, at 11:50 a.m.

 

The roll was answered as follows:

 

Present:              Representatives Madden; Hochberg; McReynolds; Jones, Delwin (4).

 

Absent:              Representatives Dunnam; Haggerty; Oliveira (3).

 

A quorum was present.

 

HB 427

 

The chair laid out HB 427 as pending business.

 

Representative Madden offered a complete committee substitute.

 

(Representative Dunnam now present.)

 

The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

 

Representative Madden moved that HB 427, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

 

Ayes:                             Representatives Madden; Hochberg; McReynolds; Jones, Delwin (4).

 

Nays:                             None (0).

 

Present, Not Voting:     Representative Dunnam  (1).

 

Absent:                          Representatives Haggerty; Oliveira  (2).

 

At 12:02 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
