Pursuant to a notice posted on May 14, 2007, and being granted permission to meet while the House is in session pending the receipt of Senate messages and reading and referral of bills,  the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, Byron, at 6:24 p.m.
