Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor and suspension of the five-day posting rule on April 30, 2007, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a formal meeting and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, Byron, at 7:56 p.m.

Representative Martinez Fischer moved adoption of the committee substitute.  The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
