CORRECTED MINUTES
On March 7, 2007, the House Committee on Civil Practices authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of the House Committee on Civil Practices held on February 28, 2007. The following are the corrected minutes for that meeting:
Pursuant to a notice posted on February 23, 2007, the House Committee on Civil Practices met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Cook, Byron, at 8:07 a.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Cook, Byron; Strama; King, Phil; Miller; Raymond; Talton; Woolley (7).
Absent: Representatives Madden; Martinez Fischer (2).
A quorum was present.
The chair directed that the February 21, 2007, minutes for the House Committee on Civil Practices be corrected. The corrected minutes were authorized without objection.
HB 823
The chair laid out HB 823.
The chair recognized Representative Ritter to explain the measure.
Representative Strama offered a complete committee substitute.
The chair recognized Representative Ritter to explain the measure.

The chair recognized Representative Ritter to close on the measure.
Representative Strama moved that the committee substitute be adopted.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.

Representative Strama moved that HB 823, as substituted, be reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following record vote:

Nays: None (0).
Present, Not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives King, Phil; Martinez Fischer (2).
